Most foil container machines are quoted with the same three numbers: press tonnage, number of cavities and strokes per minute. On the production floor, identical numbers often turn into very different monthly output.
The difference is rarely the press itself. It comes down to five design decisions that only become visible after the line has been running for a few weeks: how the frame is built, how the bench is constructed, which lubrication system is used, how the control system reports a fault, and what happens when the safety door is opened.
Below are those five details, using the specifications of our LK-T63, LK-T80 and LK-T130 lines as the reference. If you are comparing quotations for an automatic foil container machine, these are the questions worth asking before you discuss anything else.
A press line rarely stops because a major part has failed. It stops because of small, repeatable interruptions: an operator walks around the line to work out why the stacker stopped, a mould change takes most of a shift, or the lubrication points need topping up in the middle of a run. Individually these cost minutes. Across three shifts and 330 working days, they decide whether the line reaches its rated output at all.
Our lines are built to run with one worker per line. That only works when the machine does the bookkeeping: automatic counting, faults reported as text on the screen instead of a code that needs a manual, and stored mould parameters so a product change does not mean re-tuning the press from scratch.
Our 63-tonne LK-T63 uses a "C" frame and is designed around three-cavity moulds for small and medium containers. The 80-tonne LK-T80 and the 130-tonne LK-T130 use an "H" frame. The H frame closes the load path on both sides of the press, which supports a longer working life for the bench and better stability when the line runs multi-cavity moulds continuously. If your plan is 4 to 6 cavities and long running hours, the H frame is the more suitable starting point.

Ask what the bench is made from and how high the working table sits. A solid bench holds its geometry better under continuous load than a hollow fabrication, and it allows a taller working table, which gives a more stable forming position. At 50 strokes per minute, that stability is what keeps container walls and rims consistent from the first box of the shift to the last.
Two lubrication approaches exist in this class of press. LK-T63 uses lithium-based grease. LK-T80 and LK-T130 use an enclosed oil circuit: fewer manual topping-up tasks, cleaner surroundings around the line, and lower lubricant consumption across a year of running. On a three-shift operation, the closed circuit removes routine work that otherwise falls on the same operator during production.
Two features decide how long a stop lasts. First, the line stops itself and displays the specific fault on the touchscreen, so the operator does not have to diagnose by ear or wait for a technician. Second, 60 mould parameter sets can be stored on the machine. A changeover between two products you have already run becomes a recall rather than a new setup — on lines where every change means retuning by trial, the same changeover can take hours.
The safety door is more than a compliance item. When it is opened during production, the machine stops automatically, which allows a safe intervention without stopping the rest of the workshop. The same section carries the mould change equipment: a mould lifting arm on the platform and a worktable positioned by a hydraulic pump. Measured on our lines, one worker completes a mould change in about 15 minutes, without hand tools and without a second pair of hands.
The three models are built for different jobs. This table lists the published specifications for each. The full line-up is on our foil container production line pages.

What the three models share:
Working speed on these lines runs from 35 to 68 strokes per minute and averages 50. At that average:
Over 24 continuous hours that is 216,000 to 288,000 containers per day before planned stops. These figures are calculated from the rated working speed; real output depends on mould, material and how changeovers are organised.
Press lines and moulds made in our Shanghai works are in service with customers in the United States, Canada, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, India, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Brazil, Pakistan, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Lebanon, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Congo and Yemen, among other markets.
A three-shift container producer buys differently from a day-shift plant. The day-shift plant asks about cavity count and rated hourly output. The three-shift plant asks how the machine behaves in hour 20 of a run: whether the forming position has drifted, whether the lubrication system is still holding, and how long the last changeover took. Those are the questions the five details above are designed around, and they are the questions we work through with every new container producer before a line is specified.
Can the machine run 24 hours a day? Yes. The line is rated for continuous 24-hour production.
How many operators are needed? One worker per line. Counting, stacking and fault reporting are handled by the machine.
What happens if a fault occurs during a night shift? The machine stops automatically and the specific fault is displayed on the touchscreen. The parts worth keeping in stock are the stacker sensor and the feeder controller.
How long does a mould change take? About 15 minutes, completed by one worker. The platform carries a mould lifting arm and the worktable is positioned by a hydraulic pump.
What is the service life of the machine? The press line is rated at 10 years of service, and the main frame is designed for more than 30 years.
What foil can the line run? 3003H24, 8011H22 and 3004H24, from 0.025 mm to 0.2 mm. Below 50 micron we do not recommend 3004. One mould can accept about 10 micron of thickness variation on small and medium containers, and 15 to 30 micron on large ones.
What kind of containers can be produced? Wrinkle-wall and wrinkle-free containers in standard and custom sizes, with a removable insert for your own logo. An embossing device can be fitted on the feeder, a printing unit added, and coated material used for custom colours.
What certifications and after-sales support are included? CE, SGS, ISO9001 and ISO14001, as a 3A-level credit enterprise. The warranty covers one year with replacement of non-human-damaged parts; after the warranty, parts are supplied at cost, with lifetime technical support and 24/7 response.
LIKEE (Shanghai LIKEE Machinery Mould Co., Ltd.) is a National High-Tech Enterprise working on automatic production solutions for aluminium foil containers since 2010. The company holds CE, SGS, ISO9001 and ISO14001 certification and is a 3A-level credit enterprise. The Shanghai works covers a 2,500 m² production workshop equipped with seven high-precision CNC lathes, with annual capacity of 150 professional mould sets and 100 complete foil container production lines.
Beyond the press line itself, we support new and existing producers with container sample selection, workshop layout planning and a choice of line configurations for different output targets. Moulds are designed and manufactured in-house, including moulds for presses you already own.
If your requirement is a line that holds its output across three shifts rather than a line that performs well in a demonstration, send us your container sample or drawing for measurement, or contact our team to discuss the configuration that fits your output target.
