From Aluminum Foil to Container: Key Processes Behind a Production Line

A seemingly simple aluminum foil container goes through multiple processes from aluminum foil master roll to finished product. Below is an overview of the key steps in a fully automatic aluminum foil container production line.

Step 1: Decoiler

The aluminum foil master roll is first unwound by a decoiler, which smoothly feeds the foil into the next stage. The tension control of the decoiler directly affects the stability of the stamping process.

Step 2: Pressing Machine and Mold

The pressing machine is the core of the production line. Under the action of the mold, the aluminum foil is stamped to form the basic shape of the container. The precision of the mold directly determines the quality of the finished product.

According to customer sample requirements, we LIKEE can customize ordinary wrinkle wall or smooth wall molds. Edge rolling styles include full edge rolling, folded edge rolling, reverse edge rolling, etc. In addition, based on customer production volume requirements, we can manufacture molds with different numbers of cavities, ranging from single-cavity to multi-cavity molds — all of which can be customized.

LIKEE's pressing machines feature a rigid frame design, paired with molds machined by high-precision CNC grinding machines, ensuring product consistency and stability. Our machines can be equipped with multiple sets of molds, allowing quick changeover between different container types to flexibly meet diverse production needs.

Step 3: Stacker

The formed containers are automatically stacked and counted by a stacker, neatly arranged according to the preset quantity for subsequent packaging. The stacking method can be adjusted based on customer requirements to accommodate different container specifications.

Step 4: Scrap Recovery

The edge scrap generated during the stamping process is collected by a scrap suction system and fed into a baler to be compressed into aluminum blocks, facilitating recycling and reducing raw material waste. The recovered aluminum blocks can be sold directly to aluminum mills, providing additional revenue for customers.

Step 5: Final Packaging

After forming, the containers need to be boxed and sealed. We provide supporting packaging equipment and materials, such as cartons and tape. In addition, customers can choose our finished paper lids or opt for our paper lid machine to produce their own.
